Cars is a racing video game of 2006 that focused on a similar film. All of the voice actors from the movie are back, with only one instance of Keith Ferguson. In the PSP edition, Owen Wilson’s position was taken as McQueen’s voice.

This is a video game that takes place soon after the incidents of the first movie. A playable image scene opens the film. It indicates Lightning McQueen’s racing over Radiator Springs and the nearby region on the streets. The vision of the main player in the game’s story mode is Lightning McQueen’s. However, the story builds as he achieves several tasks to set off a new important event. But, as the game is open-world, players can finish smaller functions in any manner they like.

Gameplay​

Firstly, the game is set in the imaginary city of Radiator Springs, in which the portable editions of the game are located after the film. The game’s open environment is similar to that of Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club, and Need for Speed. New regions of the open world become accessible as the player develops. Ornament Valley and Tailfin Pass are finally unlocked due to the player’s personality, who starts in Radiator Springs. In some events or minigames, players occasionally take duty of other characters besides Lightning McQueen. Moreover, 10 playable personalities from the movie are included, and every personality is represented through the original voice actor.

Secondly, there are several types of races, such as the Piston Cup, open-world circuit courses, and checkpoint races. Every format also modifies characters according to context. Only Piston Cup racers participate in these events, which have 20 cars in total. Thirdly, personalities from the open-world story fight in circuit and checkpoint races. Personalities in checkpoint races also appear as monster truck modifications. However, split-screen multiplayer is supported for two players and all common races are playable.
